Case study: Methodological tools of the evaluation of radiophone fairy tales
The main goal of the case study was to evaluate the elements of radiophone fairy tales and the influence of these elements on preschool children in Slovenian kindergartens. 54 five-year-old children from three kindergarten groups in Ljubljana listened to the fairy tale over two consecutive weeks. During the listening, three appropriately trained observers were present in each group and made anecdotal notes about the observations. After listening, the children drew the story and had a short conversation with the observer. Interdisciplinary action research was conducted through observations of (music) psychologists, music pedagogues, kindergarten teachers and students. Results were obtained through data triangulation of qualitative analysis – children's drawings and interviews, viewing video recording and anecdotal records of observers. In separate documents, we present:
- Plan of implementation of direct evaluation of radiophone fairy tales – in kindergarten
- Observation protocol – General observations on group dynamics (form 1) / (Slovene version)
- A questionnaire for children (form2) / (Slovene version)
- Observation protocol – video evaluation (form 3) / (Slovene version)
