Music and medicine

Facilitation of the use of music in health care.

Music is a multisensory tool that can be used in health care. It can be used as a tool for relaxation, enrichment of everyday life, connecting with others and oneself, encouraging movement, improving agency, inducing moods, providing access to emotional content, improving cognitive functions. The ultimate goal of this segment of the B-AIR project is to sensitize the medical community and the general public to consider music as a relevant agent in Slovenian health care and wider. This needs to be done with the awareness of the current susceptibility of healthcare workers to such interventions.

Which are the steps and instruments that would allow for a (clinical) application and introduction of music in medical settings?
