Music as a contributing factor to better healthcare in Slovenia: experiences from the ongoing B-AIR project

Original scientific article

Within the B-AIR project we decided to explore the possible ways of introducing music into the Slovenian healthcare system. In this paper, we present the current achievements of the project, such as radio content to disseminate knowledge about the impact of music on people, a survey on the views of musically active doctors on the introduction of music, and the development of a prototype hospital radio. We focus on future directions of the project, including the adaptation of a questionnaire on music sophistication and a study on music therapy in people with Parkinson's disease.
