Sound and Music in Child Development

What do babies hear, and do they really recognise their mother's voice in the womb?
In the international B-AIR project, nine partner organisations from eight European countries, led by Radio Slovenia, are exploring and questioning the role of sound in human development – from the embryonic stage onwards – to create new radio and music content for the youngest and most vulnerable groups, in close collaboration with artists and renowned international experts. In preparation for the artistic production, the B-AIR Sound and Music in Child Development seminars took place in the spring, while their content will also be presented in a series of thematic broadcasts prepared by music pedagogue dr. Katarina Zadnik and psychologist dr. Katarina Habe, who have invited cognitive scientist dr. Anka Slana Ozimič to the microphone. They will talk about sound, music and the brain.
