This short documentary was created from footage captured at the first movement and voice improvisation workshop for people with Parkinson's in Slovenia, which took place in August 2023 in Maribor. It brought together members of Trepetlika Parkinson's patients society, three professional dance assistants, psychologist Ana Kuder and facilitator/musician Jaka Škapin. All the music included was improvised during the session, you will also hear interview excerpt from participants Milica Kopič, Biserka Muršec and Vinko Kurent. Some of the impressions include notions of bonding that the practice brought, as well as the holistic and approachable angle that collaborative improvisation brings, especially when compared with dance approaches that include fixed steps. There were also considerations around how such an offering could be viewed as a complementary activity to existing physical therapy organised within the public health care system.
